With the breathtaking expanse of Mylor Creek next to the front garden, and a slipway and private foreshore to moor a small boat or dinghy, paddleboard or kayak, guests will enjoy a stunning holiday setting with plenty of opportunity to get afloat or simply take in the view. Creekside Cottage is located on a single lane no-through road, only a short 15 minute stroll both to Mylor Harbour to the east and Mylor Bridge village to the west.
By prior arrangement a small boat trailer can also be stored on the front garden next to the single grass meshed car parking space. Our private foreshore and the adjacent public slipway is ideal for launching or retrieving dinghies, paddleboards kayaks or tenders between 3 hours either side of high water. For those who would like to learn to sail we are only a short walk (or paddle) from Mylor Sailing School and Mylor Yacht Harbour in Mylor Churchtown, Restronguet Sailing Club, Cafe Mylor and Castaways Restaurant. Guests can enjoy many beautiful walks from the Cottage, including around Mylor Great Wood to the historic Pandora Inn in Restronguet Creek, which is equally accessible from the water.

There are local shops and amenities nearby in Mylor Bridge and extensive coastal walking to take in the spectacular views and range of wildlife around the River Fal estuary and Roseland Peninsula. Falmouth's beaches, events and attractions, the historic city of Truro, the surfing beaches of the north coast and countryside of the Roseland via the nearby King Harry Ferry are all within easy reach, guaranteeing a varied and memorable holiday for everyone in this beautiful part of the world whatever the time of year.

Creekside Cottage is a refurbished late 19th century 4 bedroom 3 bathroom village home overlooking the banks of Mylor Creek with far reaching views across the water and rolling Cornish countryside beyond. It provides a perfect all year round base for all water based activities, walking, cycling, painting, bird watching, or simply relaxing with a in a beautiful peaceful environment
A large, sunny, open front garden directly opposite the cottage enjoys a 40 ft frontage directly onto the stunning Mylor Creek, one of the very few places in Cornwall where traditional working boats still put out to the Carrick Roads to dredge for oysters under sail. Our private foreshore and the adjacent public slipway provides an ideal place to launch your own family adventures afloat or simply soak up the peaceful atmosphere and view the abundent wildlife on the Creek all around you, complimented by the sounds of curlews and other wading birds foraging at the waterline.
Inside the cottage has been tastefully modernised to offer beautifully presented and well appointed accommodation which sleeps 6 guests, it is ideal for families and up to 5 adults, and yet cosy enough for couples.
The interconnected ground floor reception rooms provide ideal living space for a family or friends to enjoy during their holiday. The sitting area enjoy views of the passing boats and a warm and cosy atmosphere to relax on leather sofas to enjoy a movie on the smart TV or a DVD from the family library. The warmth of a roaring fire adds to the scene in the winter months.
A large archway opens out into a dining area awash with natural light and enhanced by a country-style kitchen diner. A solid pine table comfortably sits up to 6 for indoor dinner parties, and in winter our wood burning stove adds an atmospheric glow.
Leading on from the dining area, the bright and contemporary spot-lit kitchen features an oak vaulted ceiling and is fully equipped with a broad range of high quality appliances to make the best of a self-catering stay including dishwasher, large fridge freezer with icemaker and iced water dispenser, microwave, ceramic hob, oven and grill.
The adjoining utility room contains hot water and central heating controls and is equipped with a washing machine, condensing dryer and hanging space for wetsuits/walking/sailing gear. Leading off is a shower room which is useful after a day on the water. From the utility room a stable door opens out and up the stone steps into an enclosed large and sunny back garden which is ideal enjoying relaxed alfresco meals in the sunshine.
The contemporary style of the accommodation continues up to the first floor (the original staircase is quite steep and incorporates a stair gate) with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom is furnished in a nautical theme, comfortable and bright, and with stunning views over the creek from 3 of the 4 bedrooms.
Couples can easily relax in the master bedroom with its King size bed and smart TV. This room offers tranquil garden views to enjoy from the back of the cottage and is perfectly complemented by a modern en-suite with power shower.

A further bedroom ideal for couples can also be found overlooking Mylor Creek, with a double bed and freeview TV. A bright and welcoming single bedroom leads off from the double bedroom with both enjoying shared access to a modern fitted family bathroom with power shower. A fourth bedroom with single bed also overlooks the beautiful waterside, to complete the stylish and well presented sleeping accommodation.

About Us

A Chartered Surveyor and professional Artist couple with a grown up family and 2 dogs who love sailing, paddling and the great outdoors, we fell under the spell of beautiful Mylor Creek over 20 years ago.
Completely renovated, meticulously maintained to a high quality throughout, and with family and dog friendly holidays always uppermost in our minds, we were persuaded to open our doors to holiday guests in 2013, so many of whom we enjoy welcoming back to Creekside each year.

We have a fantastic local housekeeping, maintenance and gardening team helping us to keep the cottage beautifully presented for our guests to enjoy, and we look forward to holidaying at Creekside between our guests, constantly upgrading and improving as well as enjoying our own adventures in this beautiful corner of Cornwall.
