Our story

Jacquie and Nigel are a professional Surveyor and Artist couple who met at sea, have 4 grown up children, 2 dogs, love sailing, paddle boarding, walking, cycling and generally exploring Cornwall "off the beaten track". Getting afloat as often as possible originally led us to fall under the spell of Mylor Creek over 15 years ago, and our now grown up family still looks forward to returning to our waterside home in the closed season whatever the weather or time of year!
We self-manage our holiday lettings with an owner's critical eye to ensure consistently high professional standards, but also to provide a very personal feel to the service we provide our guests and their families. We enjoy engaging directly with our guests, thrive on their feedback, and find it very rewarding contributing towards a happy .

We employ a fantastic local housekeeping, maintenance and gardening team helping us to keep the cottage and gardens beautifully presented for guests to enjoy, but also spend much of the closed season each year improving, maintaining and investing in the cottage to maintain high contemporary standards and progressively lowering our environmental footprint.

Location

Located midway between Mylor Harbour and Mylor Bridge, Creekside Cottage enjoys a very special location on a no through road with the breathtaking expanse of Mylor Creek lapping against its front garden, and a slipway next to our private foreshore to conveniently launch paddleboards, kayaks, dinghies, or small inflatable tenders. Guests will enjoy a simply stunning holiday setting with plenty of opportunity for everyone to explore this beautiful area from the water, or simply take in the ever-changing views and sounds of the Creek from our waterside front garden.
By prior arrangement we can normally accommodate a single small, light dinghy or tender trailer on our Creekside garden during your stay, but we recommend guests who wish to bring a larger or heavier vessal with them to arrange to use the launch/retrieval/storage and mooring facilities at Mylor Yacht Harbour. For those who would like to learn or refresh their paddleboarding, sailing or powerboat skills, we are only a 15 minute walk (or paddle) from Mylor Sailing School in Mylor Yacht Harbour together with Restronguet Sailing Club, Cafe Mylor and Castaways Restaurant. Guests can enjoy circular walks directly from the Cottage, including around Mylor Great Wood to the historic Pandora Inn in Restronguet Creek, (equally accessible from the water in the right conditions) to the north, and the Flushing circular walk via The Harbour House pub to the south.

There are local shops and amenities nearby in Mylor Bridge only a 10 minute walk away. and extensive coastal walking to take in the spectacular views and range of wildlife around the River Fal estuary and Roseland Peninsula. Falmouth's beaches, events and attractions, the historic city of Truro, the surfing beaches of the north coast and countryside of the Roseland via the nearby King Harry Ferry are all within easy reach, guaranteeing a varied and memorable holiday for everyone in this beautiful part of the world whatever the time of year.
